L’Oreal Elevates Gretchen Saegh-Fleming To Chief Marketing Officer Role
L’Oreal hasn’t had to look far to find itself a new chief marketing officer, following the departure of incumbent Marie Gulin-Merle to Calvin Klein, with news that Gretchen Saegh-Fleming has been chosen to take her place from 1 marketing officer.
Saegh-Fleming currently serves as a senior vice president within L’Oreal’s Luxe division across the pond, where she has made her mark in the direct to consumer business with luxury brands such as Kiehl, Giorgio Armani and Yves Saint Laurent.
In a statement L’Oreal USA wrote: “Gretchen’s expertise in commerce business models, her passion for developing innovations in customer experience and her track record in leading digital transformation will be invaluable as the company continues to accelerate its digital leadership.”
Saegh-Fleming first joined L’Oreal back in 2012 as a vice president in charge of e-commerce and digital innovation for the brand’s international designer collection.
L’Oreal’s focus on image hasn’t always gone to plan, however, with the cosmetics giant hit by the departure of its first hijab-wearing model in January – hot on the heels of comments from Dame Helen Mirren that its moisturiser ‘probably does fuck all.’
