One of Nigeria’s biggest and oldest Out of Home agencies, Afro Media Plc, has elevated Femi Olaiya to the position of Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer.
Olaiya resumed this position late last month having served as the company’s Deputy Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer since October last year. This followed the resignation of Otunba Akinola Olopade as the Group Chief Executive Officer of the company.
He joined the services of Afromedia in 2014 as an Associate Director where he was charged with the mandate to revamp the sales and marketing operations of the business, which he did successfully, by delivering a cumulative growth in revenue of almost 100% over a 3 year period. In 2017, he rose to the position of an Executive Director in the publicly quoted company.
Prior to his journey with Afro Media, Femi started his career as an Account Manager at Schlumberger Information Solutions in 2004. From there, he joined Information Connectivity Solutions Limited in 2006 as a Sales and Marketing Manager. In 2009 he joined Veda Technology Limited as its Head of Marketing and Communications. By 2009, he became a Managing Partner at Redwood Consulting. Almost four years later, he became Managing Partner too at Rousetta 360 before joining Afro Media.
With a work experience totalling over 18 years, he is a versatile professional with a thorough grasp of B2B and B2C sales and marketing strategies and tactics, and has worked in large corporations (Schlumberger and NNPC), Medium Companies, and Small companies.
Femi is an Executive MBA graduate of the Lagos Business School (Pan Atlantic University) and alumnus of the Obafemi Awolowo University.
