The MD/CEO of Luzo DN & Media Limited, Bidwell Nkemakolam Okere has been appointed as the Director General of Imo State Signage and Advertising Agency.
He was appointed by the Imo state government to oversee the activities of the agency. Bidwell is a veteran in the Out-of-Home industry and a versatile marketing communications and advertising professional with more than a decade cognate industry experience at managerial level.
It is noteworthy that recently, Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State signed into law the Imo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (Establishment) bill. The law can be cited as Imo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (Establishment) Law No.36 of 2019.
On the Imo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (Establishment) law, the Governor said it does not seek to establish an agency on advertisements, but to streamline and regulate indiscriminate display of signs and advertisements across the state.
Bidwell with his wealth of experience in the Out-of-home industry and advertising is expected to help actualise the objectives of the agency.
Prior to working at Luzo DN & Media Limited, he worked at Marketing and Media Limited where he was the General Manager/Head Client Service and contributed immensely to the growth of the agency.
Bidwell is a member of Advertising Practitioner Council of Nigeria (APCON), Institute of Directors (IOD) and Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN). Also, he served as a Member, Monitoring Committee, OAAN in 2005.
Interestingly, Bidwell is widely traveled and has attended various courses and workshops in advertising, marketing communication, brand management and relationship management both home and abroad.
He holds a certificate course in Owner Manager Programme (OMP 14) Lagos Business School. Also, holds Advanced Diploma Certificate in Leadership, Ethics & Corporate Governance – Graduate School of Public & International Affairs- University of Pittsburgh Pennsylvanian- USA.
