Keskese Gets Applaud From Sports Minister

One of Nigeria’s leading experiential marketing agencies, Keskese has been applauded by the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, for the success of Nigeria Sports Award (NSA) organised by the agency.
He pledged to partner with the organisers to make subsequent event bigger and more glamorous.
He made this known at the 2019 edition of the sport awards held at the Jasmine Hall of the Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos recently.
Sunday said throwing his ministry weight behind the award is part of efforts to motivate the country’s athletes and help promote sports in the country.
He added that next year his ministry would support the event in a much higher capacity by gathering all the past and present sport men and women in the award hall to showcase to the world the great talents that the country is blessed with.
“The award night should not be only for those who are winning awards or who get nominated for awards but it must comprise even those who have won or have not won before, as long as they have represented Nigeria in the past,” the minister said.
“I reckon that this arrangement will have cost implication but I want to assure that the ministry will be ready to do everything it can with the organisers to ensure that this comes to reality. On our side, we are determined that sports become a big industry in Nigeria and we will stop at nothing to see this being achieved.”
It is worthy of note, that the event recorded great success with over 35 million votes from Nigerians, voting their favourite sport men and women. Sunday said the votes showed that sports is loved by Nigerians.
Basically, the Nigerian Sports Award is dedicated to recognising the achievements of the country’s past and present sports men and women that have excelled in the sporting world.
It honours leadership, vision, innovation and outstanding accomplishments, providing opportunity for the sports stars to be celebrated on national and global platforms, according to the organisers.
The Executive Director of the award, Kayode Idowu, stated that the organisers wouldn’t rest on their oars to make the next edition bigger and better, as he called for more support from Private and public sector to help promote sports in the country.
