PRCA Appoints Yomi Badejo-Okusanya As West Africa Chair

Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA), the world’s largest professional PR body has appointed Yomi Badejo-Okusanya as the Chair for West African region to represent its African Network.
The announcement of the African Network was established recently by the professional association to strengthen its reach in the continent under the overall leadership of Jordan Rittenberry, Chairman, Middle East & Africa and CEO, Africa, Edelman with four regional chairs from around the continent. The Network follows significant membership growth on the continent and is the latest stage in the PRCA’s global expansion, building on its standing as the largest PR association in the world.
Other members of the leadership team announced include; North Africa Chair, Kamal Taibi, CEO, Strateus Group, Southern Africa Chair, Bridget von Holdt, Co-Market Leader: South Africa, BCW, East Africa Chair, Soni Kayinamura, CEO, Clarity Communications.
The network will help to create an even more professional, ethical, and prosperous PR industry across the continent. It will facilitate senior-level networking, sharing of best practice and give members access to a significant programme of events as well as over 100 online training courses a year.
Speaking on the announcement, Yomi Badejo-Okusanya commented “I am very pleased to hear this news as it goes to show how much value the global industry has now placed on the African continent. This is an opportunity to further increase our capacity as PR practitioners with global standards on this coast.” Badejo-Okusanya who is also the President of the African Public Relations Association (APRA) and the GMD, CMC Connect (Perception Managers) said the African Network is an exciting development for the industry and calls PR Practitioners to support the network.

Yomi Badejo-Okusanya, founded CMC Connect (Perception Managers) in 1992 and has promoted the practice of Public Relations in Nigeria through his immeasurable and impactful contributions.
