Certified Trainer Facilitator, Life Enrichment Specialist, and Lead Consultant at Swiftwings Communications, Dapo Omojola has urged business owners and experts to embrace face-to-face marketing even in this digital world to expand their business as well as engage quality clients.

Omojola said this while delivering his keynote speech which was themed “The Power Of Face-2-Face Marketing In A Virtual Age” at the maiden edition of the International Paper, Publishing & Printing Expo (IPPEX) held last Thursday at Landmark event centre.

IPPEX 2023 was designed to create a unique opportunity for all players in the print chain to come together and explore the latest innovations, products, and technologies in the marketing and promotional products, paper, publishing, print-on textile, and digital printing industry.

In Omojola’s words, “In business, we either scale or scalp, however, there are many ways in which businesses scale through, one of which is to ‘Market’ and one of the best ways to market still remains ‘Face-2-Face Marketing.”

He further noted that F2F Marketing is being one on one with clients, it presents an opportunity for direct interaction with clients, and it’s also a process of building a personal relationship with customers by meeting them in person to understand their needs, providing solutions, and creating an experience with them.

Speaking on the importance of F2F Marketing, Omojola listed many gains that include, building trust and credibility, personalize customer experience, capturing immediate feedback through expression, increasing the likelihood of making a sale, it saves resources such as time and money, it allows for higher conversion rates, and also breaks down barriers.

He added that to achieve better results in F2F Marketing, business owners must know the strategies to approach which are knowing the audience, being prepared by knowing your products very well, being personable, and having follow-up skills.

However, every tactic in business marketing has its own setback, for F2F Marketing in this virtual age the setback could be occupational hazards and noises around the meeting area which could distract the business owners and clients.

Earlier, while delivering his welcome address, the CEO/Managing Director of DCS Integrated Media Ltd, Mr. Tunde Obokhai said “The IPPEX 2023 is a convergence of major aspects in the print value chain and a gradual move to bring to reality the vision of having a one-stop print expo in the Nigeria printing industry like the famous drupe fair in Germany and IPEX fair in the UK.”

Other dignitaries at the event include Mrs. Abiola Sanni, President, the Association of Promotional Products Specialists of Nigeria (APPSON); Dr. Cyril Anoike, National President of Nigerian Publishers Association (NPA); Mrs. Adebimpe Giwa, MD Tripple Gee & Company plc; Mrs. Hannah Oyebanjo, CEO Redwood Consulting; and Mr. Femi Adelusi, GMD of Brand Eye/Brainbox Nigeria.
