As part of activities to mark its 50th-anniversary celebrations, the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN), will hold its annual industry night on Friday, May 26th at the Ikeja Golf Club, Lagos.

AAAN has over the years consistently played a pivotal role in promoting excellence and fostering collaboration within the advertising sector.

The much-anticipated industry night is an opportunity for advertising agencies, marketing professionals, brand managers, media practitioners, stakeholders, and creatives to come together under one roof to celebrate the achievements of the Nigerian advertising industry.

Although further details have not been provided on the industry night, however, a post on the official Instagram handle of the association with a flyer of the event read, “We are going RETRO. It’s the 50th anniversary industry night. At AAAN, we vibe different.”

The association had in January kick-started its golden jubilee celebration with the unveiling of the anniversary logo. Speaking on the celebrations themed: ‘50 Years Young, Ready For More’, AAAN President, Steve Babaeko, said the association will be recognising and celebrating industry icons, past and present, whose efforts have contributed to making the Nigerian creative industry a force to reckon with, local and internationally.

Also, as part of activities for its 50th-anniversary celebrations, the association held a fitness walk to promote all-around wellness among association members, staff of marketing communication agencies, and the public in April.

The fitness walk led by its President, Steve Babaeko; Chairman, AAAN Board of Trustees, Sir Steve Omojafor; and other executives of the association started from the AAAN secretariat at Jobi Fele Way, and proceeded through M.K.O Abiola Gardens Road, into CIPM Avenue, connected Hakeem Balogun Street and back to the AAAN Secretariat.

The walk featured an aerobics session by I-Fitness, as well as free Prostate Cancer screening for participants by The Dozy Mmobuosi Foundation. The fitness walk was also supported by McVitie’s and 12 Baskets Foods.
