Brand Journalists To Commemorate Consumer Rights Day With Workshop On AI

Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN), the umbrella body of journalists covering the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) space is set to celebrate the 2024 World Consumer Rights Day, tagged ‘FAIR AND RESPONSIBLE AI FOR CONSUMERS’ with a workshop on Friday, March 15.
According to BJAN, the event which is scheduled to be held at the Heineken hall, Nigeria Breweries Plc, Iganmu Lagos, aims at raising awareness about consumer rights and empowers individuals with knowledge and resources to make informed decisions in the marketplace.
It is also part of the body’s resolve to join the rest of the global community to deepen discussions on issues affecting consumers/customers with a particular focus on the plight of consumers in Nigeria.
The keynote address will be delivered by the Chief Executive Officer, CarpeDiem Solutions Edward Isreal-Ayide.
The Chairman of the Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria, Clara Okoro stated that Isreal-Ayide is a leading personality in promoting innovation and technology for social good in the Marketing Communications Industry, and she believes his knowledge would greatly enhance the impact of the event.
Commenting on the event she said, “Technology has become a game changer globally in many industries, and Consumers are grappling with how Artificial Intelligence is today affecting their purchasing decisions in ethical and unethical ways.
BJAN continues to provide leadership in consumer-related workshops aimed at bridging the gap between customers’ experiences and the brands that service them.
