Patrick McMichael Bows Out Of EatN’Go Africa As GMD/CEO

Quick-Service Restaurant (QSR) leader, Patrick McMichael has announced that he is bowing out of service in EatN’Go where he has been at the helm of leadership as the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for six years.

He made the announcement yesterday on his LinkedIn page, he wrote, “After six years at the helm of EatN’Go Africa, I have decided that it is time to step down and pass on the leadership role to new management. It has been an exciting, challenging and rewarding time over the last six years. During this time we have grown the business from 63 stores in Nigeria to just under 200 stores in Nigeria and Kenya with the support of an amazing team.

 “During the coming months, I will support the new management team in the handover process. I am very confident that EatnGo will continue to prosper and lead the way for QSR in Africa.

 “I am very appreciative of all the support from so many people both inside the business and external to the business during my time at Eatn’Go. Too many to mention, I have made so many lifelong friends. I am very proud of the work that I have been involved in with Slum to School to provide education for so many underprivileged children in Nigeria to help build future leaders. I leave EatnGo in very safe hands with a great future.”

Patrick was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Eat N’ Go in May 2018, and later became the Group Managing Director and CEO in 2020.

 He has over 32 years of experience in the quick-service restaurant business globally. Prior to joining Eat N’ Go, Patrick had a long career as Chief Development and Franchise Officer at Domino’s Pizza Enterprises, one of the largest Domino’s Pizza Franchisees in the world. 

Patrick previously served as the CEO of Domino’s Pizza Indonesia where he increased store count from 78 to 131 within a year. He also served as COO of Retail ZOO the owners of multiple brands like Boost Juice, Salsas Fresh Mex and CIBO Espresso.

 He is a Graduate of the Santa Barbara City College Hotel, Restaurant and Culinary School in California.
