OneWildCard Boss Kayode Oluwo Joins Growing List Of Nigerians At 2024 Cannes Lions As Juror

In has described as the year of ‘AfriCannes’, yet another Nigerian has been appointed a juror at the prestigious Cannes Lions International Festival of creativity. Creative advertising expert and Managing Director of Lagos-based advertising powerhouse – OneWildCard, Kayode Olowu will join ranks with other experts across the globe to adjudicate works in the Outdoor Lions, a category at the creative mundial.  

As a juror for the Outdoor Lions category, Olowu will bring his vast experience, knowledge, and expertise to evaluate works showcased on billboards, posters, experiential and ambient advertisements, and other creative endeavours that craft unique customer experiences in public spaces to communicate a brand’s message effectively.

A creative entrepreneur with a deep-rooted passion for culturally grounded works, Olowu leads the team at OneWildCard, an agency known for its innovative and impactful campaigns. His creative journey has taken him across various advertising powerhouses in Europe, including VMLY&R and Jung von Matt (JvM) in Hamburg, where he honed his skills and gained invaluable experience.

Before founding OneWildCard, he worked across some creative powerhouses across Europe, including VMLY&R and Jung von Matt (JvM) in Hamburg. Kayode has been instrumental in shaping the visual identities of leading brands such as Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industries (LCCI), SeamlessHR, Marketsquare and BlackHouseMedia. He has also led communication design processes for Sanofi, ROCHE, Danone, PZ Wilmar, Africa Development Bank (AfDB), United Bank for Africa (UBA), Kilimanjaro 

His works have been recognised at several International design and creativity awards, including ADC, CLIO, D&AD, Graphis, LAIF, Pitchers, LOERIES and YGA. He has also served as a jury member on several award shows. 

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, scheduled to take place from June 17-21, 2024, is a globally renowned event that attracts the brightest minds in creative communications, advertising, and related fields. Considered the largest gathering of the advertising and creative communications industry, the festival serves as a platform for celebrating excellence, fostering innovation, and shaping the future of the creative landscape.
