Lanre Adisa Set To Unveil Plans For AAAN Presidency, Flags Off Interest With Teasers
Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Noah’s Ark Communications Group, Lanre Adisa is poised to unveil plans to run as president of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN). Adisa flagged off his plan earlier today with teasers on his social media platforms
hinged on three phrases- “audacious reinforcement of the industry’s reputation as a creative authority”, “redefining the future of AAAN” and “disrupting the status quo for a world-class positioning of the industry”.
Lanre who is currently an ex-officio member of the association, gave a strong hint via his posts on Instagram. His words, “It takes someone audacious to turn extreme industry issues around for the good of all. Some is coming, with extreme audacity to reinforce our industry’s reputation as a creative authority.”
“To build on the current success of AAAN requires a leader that can creatively disrupt the status quo, only when we disrupt the status quo, can we grow from good to great.
“Redefining the future of AAN requires a leader with a great insight on its past and present, insightful leadership is key to redefining AAAN’s journey”.
Lanre is an experienced creative entrepreneur with a demonstrated history of working in the marketing and advertising industry. He has over 30 years of working on some of the most visible local and multinational brands in Nigeria with thriving firms in Advertising, Public Relations and Content/Production.
Adisa was the first Nigerian, and indeed West African in the advertising industry to be appointed as a juror of the prestigious Cannes Lions Festival. This was in 2018.
He has served on the jury of many globally acclaimed ad festivals and was the jury president in the Heritage category of the 2018 Pitcher Awards. He has also presided over the Young Lions creative jury in Nigeria for several years.
Adisa belongs to the very rare breed of Managing Directors in the creative advertising scene who have backgrounds in the creative department. He began his career in the advertising industry in 1990 when he joined MC&A Saatchi & Saatchi as Copy Group Head. He left the agency for four years.
In 1997, Lanre pitched his tent with Insight Communications (then affiliated with Grey) as Associate Creative Director. By 2003, he was ready to move on again. He joined TBWA Concept as Executive Creative Director. After TBWA, he decided to hang his boots to ‘construct’ Noah’s Ark. Thereafter, the sky became his limit.
