Pitcher Festival has announced the opening date for the submission of entries for the 2025 creativity award scheduled to hold from May 15 – 17, 2025 with the theme “Prosperity Powered by Culture and Innovation..”
Submission of entries for the May awards will open on the 1st of November 2024. Closing date for submission is March 31. 2025.
According to the organisers, the event will witness the unveiling and celebration of Africa’s brightest ideas and talents. “Leading up to the festival, we will take the time to discover future champions, celebrate their potential, and engage with the upcoming stars of our industry at the Future Creative Leaders Academy and the Young Professionals Academy.
“We are also excited to introduce the Creative Leaders Compass, an innovative session for industry leaders from around the world. This event will focus on delivering excellence for the African creative industry, providing a platform to learn, network, and deepen knowledge about the African market.” The organisers said.
In 2025, Pitcher Awards will explore the powerful intersection of cultural heritage and modern innovation, showcasing how these forces can drive sustainable and inclusive growth. There will be loads of inspiring keynotes, interactive workshops, and immersive sessions as they explore how creativity, culture, and technology can unite to build a prosperous future for all.
Speaking on the theme, the organizer said “As a festival of ideas, our theme serves as a guide, but we welcome speakers to explore any topical issue relevant to our community. You have the opportunity to create your own session or be a panelist in sessions we organize. Speaking opportunities include the Future Creative Leaders Academy, Young Professionals Academy, and Pitcher Talks. All speaking sessions can be delivered remotely online, allowing for global participation and engagement.
