Oluwatobi Olanisimi Joins Diageo As Shopper Marketing Manager, Reserve Scotch (South, West & Central Africa)

Award winning marketing professional, Oluwatobi Olanisimi has been appointed Shopper Marketing Manager, Reserve Scotch (South, West & Central Africa) at Diageo. Olanisimi is also on the prestigious list of Brandcom Awards’ 2023 Top 35 Under 35 professionals.

In his new role, he will drive strategic planning and deliver premium brand activations for Singleton and Johnnie Walker Blue across key markets in Southern, Western, and Central Africa. Bringing bold, luxury brand experiences to life.

Prior to joining Diageo, Olanisimi was Marketing Manager at AB InBev.

With over 11 years experience, Olanisimi is an ambitious and results-driven individual with strong academic credentials combined with “real world” business experience and a diverse background of extra-curricular activities and interests.

He possesses strong leadership skills along with the ability to deal creatively and practically with legal problems/issues and interact effectively with colleagues and clients.

His career journey started as a Brand Ambassador for Footprint Promotional Advertising where he was responsible for sampling and marketing a Diageo brand (Baileys), sampling it for customers in order to foster sales in an outlet.

He then became an Administrative Officer at National Youth Service Corps (ministry of women affairs, community development, social welfare & PA at Oyo State where he ensure that all office equipment and electrical appliances i.e. printer computers, ups, air conditioners, light bulbs etc. are working properly at all times to avoid a break in work flow.

Olanisimi also served at The E Pro Concept as Client Relations Executive where he act as a liaison between the company and the general public; maintain relationship with client and vendors and create a lead for the company and seal deals.

At GDM Group, Olanisimi served as Marketing Operations Specialist to develop relevant research reports/insights to drive lead generational & content marketing activities. He then moved to Grand Oak Limited as Brand Manager responsible for managing and providing strategic direction for Grand Oak Limited’s assigned brands.

He is a seasoned professional who has worked on brands like Malta Guinness, Regal, Mainstream spirit of Diageo, GSK, Darling among other brands at the agency level while he directly Managed the Nutri-Milk brand, Nutri-Milk Superkids and CWAY peach fruit drink.

Olanisimi is an alumnus of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, where he bagged a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. He also holds a certificate in professional Marketing from the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) and a diploma in marketing management from Alison.
