The fourth edition of the Imperfectly Awesome Conversations Summit, hosted by marketing and communications Amazon, Dr. Omotola Bamigbaiye-Elatuyi, is set to be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos.

Imperfectly Awesome is Omotola Bamigbaiye’s ode to Resilience and Tenacity, which she first put together in her book titled ‘Imperfectly Awesome’, written in an honest and relatable tone to help people love themselves, reinvent, and bloom.

The transformative gathering is renowned for bringing together industry experts, business leaders, and influential personalities to inspire change, promote resilience, and celebrate authenticity.

The 2026 summit is themed around Courage over comfort, Consistency over perfection, and Action over fear. It will feature reflective discussions and engaging storytelling sessions designed to inspire professionals and emerging leaders.

Participants at the summit will have the opportunity to engage in conversations that promote authenticity, well-being, and personal development. A major highlight of this year’s edition is the introduction of the Imperfectly Awesome Awards, which will feature two categories.

The newly introduced awards include the Phoenix Awards, which will recognize individuals who demonstrate the courage to be vulnerable. According to organizers, nominees must have shared personal stories of failure, loss, burnout, or mistakes without sugarcoating their experiences. Their stories must have sparked conversations or helped others feel less alone in their struggles. Nominees are also expected to show that they are actively addressing their challenges and moving forward.

The second category, the Fortitude Awards, will honor individuals who embody endurance anchored in purpose and inner strength. The criteria include decision-making that significantly improves others’ lives and a consistent commitment to helping children, partners, or communities live to their fullest potential.

Bamigbaiye-Elatuyi explained that the awards were introduced to celebrate resilience, character, and impact beyond surface-level achievement. She also called on corporate organizations and well-meaning individuals to support the summit as part of their corporate social responsibility initiatives.
