Transcorp Hits ₦179.5 Billion Revenue, Profit After Tax Climbs To ₦135 Billion

Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc (Transcorp) has posted strong financial results for 2025, reporting a pre-tax profit of ₦179.5 billion, a 31 percent increase from ₦136.7 billion in 2024. Profit after tax rose to ₦135.9 billion, reflecting improved performance across the company’s diversified portfolio in power, energy, and hospitality, according to its recently released annual report.
The company’s Board has recommended a full-year dividend of N2 per share. This includes a 40 kobo interim dividend already paid and a proposed final dividend of N1.60 per share.
Annual revenue hit N544.1 billion, while gross profit grew to N274.5 billion. Operating profit also increased to N192.9 billion, highlighting Transcorp’s disciplined execution and strategic investments. Total assets crossed the N1 trillion mark, and total equity grew to N353.4 billion.
Chairman Tony O. Elumelu said the results reflect a “deliberately diversified portfolio and strong operational discipline,” underscoring confidence in Nigeria’s long-term growth potential. He highlighted that Transcorp Power increased its capacity to 625MW, while TransAfam Power tripled peak generation to 270MW, strengthening the Group’s role in Nigeria’s energy landscape.
President and Group CEO Dr. Owen Omogiafo described the milestone as a validation of Transcorp’s platform and investor trust. He added that sustained profitability and 47 percent growth in shareholders’ funds set a strong foundation for 2026.

These results signal Transcorp’s continued focus on balancing commercial returns with social impact, maintaining its position as a major player across key sectors in Nigeria.
