GBFoods Appoints Adedunmola Ezichi As Category Manager

GBFoods has announced the appointment of Adedunmola Ezichi as Category Manager, effective June 1, 2026, further strengthening its marketing and category leadership team with one of the industry’s most accomplished brand-building professionals.

In her new role, she is expected to be responsible for driving category growth, strengthening brand positioning, and delivering innovative strategies that connect with consumers and drive business performance across key product categories.

A highly accomplished and strategic marketing professional, Ezichi brings extensive experience spanning FMCG, digital marketing, brand management, and executive leadership. Throughout her career, she has successfully led high-impact brand strategies, driven innovation, and managed complex portfolios across leading organisations, consistently delivering sustainable growth and market success.

Prior to joining GBFoods, she served as Head of Category, Personal Hygiene at PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc, where she managed a high-performing portfolio of brands including Carex, Premier Cool, Imperial Leather, and Premier Care Naturals. During her time there, she played a huge role in driving category growth, delivering strong business performance, and executing standout initiatives that enhanced brand equity and market share.

Among her notable achievements was the successful execution of the Carex master brand strategy, which contributed in no small measure to margin expansion and accelerated revenue growth. She also championed innovative, consumer-centric campaigns powered by data, market insights, and emerging technologies, helping strengthen brand relevance and customer engagement.

Ezichi also brings deep digital expertise from her time at Seven Up Bottling Company, where she was Head of Digital and Digital Brand Manager. In those roles, she led digital strategy for major brands, including Pepsi and 7Up, delivering disruptive and engaging campaigns that significantly increased brand visibility, consumer engagement, and digital reach.

Her entrepreneurial experience as Chief Executive Officer of StyleMeAfrica Online Co further highlights her ability to build brands, promote strategic partnerships, manage creative teams, and drive business growth through innovative marketing initiatives.

Over the course of her career, she has also held leadership positions as Head of Business Operations at Beauty Hut Africa, Digital Brand Manager and Head of Digital at Seven Up Bottling Company, Brand Manager at Maju Fashion and Western Lotto, as well as Portfolio Manager at First Bank and Marketing Associate at ALARA Lagos.

Known for her strategic mindset and strong commercial acumen, Ezichi has demonstrated expertise in identifying market opportunities, managing budgets, analysing performance metrics, and leveraging consumer insights to drive decision-making. Her ability to deliver impactful campaigns and forge strategic partnerships has contributed to significant growth across the beauty, lifestyle, and consumer goods sectors.

She holds a Foundation Degree in Business from Columbia International College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Essex, and a Master of Science degree in International Business from Coventry University.
