Unilever Nigeria Posts ₦119.9bn Revenue, Declares ₦11.5bn Interim Dividend

Unilever Nigeria Plc has reported revenue of ₦119.9 billion for the first half of 2026, representing a 22% increase from ₦98.1 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2025.
According to the company’s unaudited financial results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, gross profit rose by 30% to ₦54.7 billion from ₦42.1 billion in the same period last year, while net profit increased to ₦15.6 billion from ₦14.4 billion.
Following the performance, the Board of Directors approved an interim dividend of ₦2.00 per 50 kobo ordinary share, subject to applicable withholding tax. The dividend, valued at ₦11.5 billion, will be paid to shareholders whose names appear on the Register of Members at the close of business on July 31, 2026.
Commenting on the results, Managing Director, Tobi Adeniyi, said the company delivered a strong first-half performance despite geopolitical volatility, rising input costs and continued pressure on consumer spending. He attributed the growth to the company’s focus on serving consumers, strengthening its route-to-market strategy, introducing impactful innovations and maintaining operational discipline.
“Revenue grew by 22%, gross profit expanded by 30%, and gross margin improved to 45.6%, underpinned by strong brand fundamentals, disciplined operations and our route-to-market execution,” Adeniyi said. He added that the performance reflects the company’s long-term confidence in the Nigerian market.
“For more than 100 years, Unilever Nigeria has invested in local manufacturing, talent development and value creation across our ecosystem. We remain optimistic about the opportunities ahead and will continue to invest responsibly in our operations, our brands and our people as we work to brighten everyday life for all Nigerians,” he said.
Looking ahead, Adeniyi said the company remains focused on delivering sustainable profitable growth, strengthening consumer engagement and building a future-ready business that creates long-term value for shareholders and other stakeholders.
