The election, which took place recently at the Providence Hotel, Ikeja GRA, Lagos, reaffirmed members’ confidence in the current leadership as the association continues to pursue initiatives to strengthen Nigeria’s advertising and marketing communications industry.

The ratified Executive Committee comprises Lanre Adisa as President, Adekoyejo Abiola as Vice President, Shola Adegborioye as Honorary Treasurer, Funmibi Fayo-Adeleye as Publicity Secretary, and Bayo Owosina as Assistant Publicity Secretary.

Also returning as ex officio members are Biodun Adefila, Olabisi Olusanya, Funke Adekola, and Raphael Idu, while Seyi Layade and Ayoade Aderoju join the committee as newly elected ex officio members.

Speaking after the ratification, Adisa thanked members for renewing their confidence in the Executive Committee, describing the outcome as a strong endorsement of the association’s vision for a more resilient and progressive advertising industry.

He welcomed Layade and Aderoju to the leadership team, expressing confidence that their experience and fresh perspectives would strengthen the committee’s work and support AAAN’s drive to deliver greater value to member agencies and the wider industry.

Adisa also pledged to consolidate the gains recorded during the committee’s first term by fostering stronger industry collaboration, promoting professional excellence, and positioning the association for sustainable growth.

“I am deeply honoured by the confidence our members have once again placed in this leadership team. We remain committed to strengthening the advertising industry, promoting professional excellence, creating greater value for our member agencies, and deepening collaboration with stakeholders to position Nigerian advertising for sustainable growth in an evolving communications landscape,” he said.

As Nigeria’s oldest umbrella body for advertising agencies, AAAN continues to champion professionalism, responsible practice, and industry development. Through advocacy, capacity building, stakeholder engagement, and member support, the association remains at the forefront of advancing the business and creative interests of agencies operating within Nigeria’s dynamic marketing communications ecosystem.
