BBNaija S11 Task One: Gerald, Abi Crowned King & Queen As Extract Soap Task Turns Up The Glow

Brand tasks have become one of the most anticipated activities on the Big Brother Naija reality show, delivering some of the season’s most memorable moments while offering sponsors a creative platform to connect with millions of fans.
Season 11 maintained that tradition as skincare brand Extract Soap took centre stage with the first sponsored task of the season, blending product knowledge, culture, fashion and confidence into an engaging multi-stage competition.
The challenge was designed to test the housemates’ presentation skills, intelligence, creativity, teamwork and confidence while putting the spotlight on some of Extract’s flagship skincare products. Throughout the task, the brand seamlessly showcased its Extract Whitening Herbal Soap (Papaya & Calamansi), Extract Papaya Calamansi Lotion, and Extract Body Scrub Soap, reinforcing its promise of naturally radiant, glowing skin through interactive storytelling rather than conventional advertising. Extract’s skincare range is built around papaya and calamansi, ingredients promoted for helping reveal brighter, smoother and more radiant skin.
Before the competition began, the 24 housemates were paired into teams of two before taking on four exciting segments that demanded different strengths.
The opening segment challenged each pair to deliver a 60-second presentation on the different Extract product variants. Housemates were expected to communicate the benefits of the products with confidence and creativity while demonstrating strong public speaking skills. The presentation round highlighted not only their ability to market a brand but also their composure under pressure.
The second segment shifted from presentation to knowledge as the contestants participated in a quiz centred on the Extract product range. The round tested their attentiveness, memory and understanding of the products they had just presented. Biggie commended the housemates for their impressive responses, with several contestants displaying remarkable recall and confidence throughout the exercise.
The task’s third and final stretch is where the drama and the glamour peaked. Housemates were asked to celebrate Nigeria’s cultural heritage on the runway, stepping out in traditional attire representing their different roots for a fashion show that had social media buzzing well after the segment ended.
That cultural showcase rolled straight into a swimsuit and bikini runway walk, a segment squarely in step with Extract’s long-running brand identity around glowing skin and confidence a theme the soap brand has leaned on across previous BBNaija seasons, from “Glow Up with Extract” pitch challenges to pageant-style tasks built around beauty and self-assurance.
At the end of the closely contested challenge, Gerald and Abi emerged as the overall winners, earning the titles of Mr. Extract (Extract King) and Miss Extract (Extract Queen) after impressing the judges with their consistency across all stages of the competition. Their performances stood out for their eloquent presentations, strong product knowledge, confidence and commanding presence on the runway.
Other standout performers were also recognised. Chisom and Neche won the Cultural Fashion Runway category after delivering one of the most captivating traditional showcases of the evening, while Abi and Gerald also claimed victory in the Swimsuit Runway category, sealing their dominance in the fashion-focused segments of the competition.
