Supa Komando energy drink, a brand from Seven-Up Bottling Company (SBC), has always brought commanding, dominant energy to the Big Brother Naija mansion. This year, the energy of the task, which was the third sponsored task of the season was on another level.

On Day 17 of the 11th season of Big Brother Naija, the brand put the housemates, known in the task as Komandos, through the Supa Komando Energy Drink ‘Locked In Fire On’ task, challenging them in agility, vitality, physical endurance, and mental alertness.

The task was carefully curated into three different stages to reflect Supa Komando’s long-running “Fire On” brand philosophy, which encourages consumers to keep pushing through the demands of everyday life. The brand has positioned itself as a source of energy and motivation for Nigerians navigating the daily hustle, with its communication repeatedly focusing on resilience, determination and the ability to push beyond one’s limits.

For Supa Komando, the challenges were inspired by the relentless hustle of the everyday Naija Komando: the students, traders, artisans and everyday Nigerians who continue to show up, work hard and pursue their ambitions despite the obstacles in their way.

It also mirrors the brand’s mission of providing consumers with the energy they need to conquer their daily hustle and seize the day. By putting housemates through obstacle courses, coordination drills and mental combat, the brand once again drove home its promise that no matter how tough the terrain, komandos never back down; they simply “fire on.”

Supa Komando has consistently used its BBNaija spotlight to reinforce this promise to Nigerians, and online chatter around the task reflected that energy, with fans on X trending hashtags like #BBNaijaXSupaKomando, #FireOnwithSupaKomando and #NothingBut10nergy as they cheered on their favourites throughout the competition.

For the first stage of the game, the “Obstacle Course & Speed”, the action opened with an intense physical run featuring multiple structural obstacles, crawling through tunnel elements, scaling barriers, and sprinting to clock the fastest possible time. It was a brutal filter, and only the fittest made it through. At the end of the first stage, Flora, Sheba, Abi, Cassie, Chisom, Barry, Neche, Bluethopia, Yusuf and Sultex advanced to round two.

The second stage, which was ‘Agility and Coordination ’, mounted pressure on the remaining contenders, as they tackled balancing and coordination challenges, including precision box-stepping and apparatus control, all while battling intense physical fatigue. It was here that the competition truly separated the pack, with only Flora, Sheba, Barry and Chisom surviving to the final stage.

And the final Stage, which was a Puzzle & Mental Combat game, shifted from brawn to brain, as finalists raced against the clock in a high-stakes puzzle and code-breaking challenge, rapidly assembling elements and decoding final markers to hit the buzzer first. When the dust settled, Sheba and Barry emerged as the Supa Komando Man and Woman of the season.

Barry and Sheba maintained their composure throughout the gruelling three-stage battle, outlasting and outperforming their fellow housemates to claim the coveted title. Their victory adds another shining line to their respective BBNaija journeys and could well give them an edge as the competition heads into its next phase.

Beyond the bragging rights, the Supa Komando task once again gave housemates a platform to showcase their competitive spirit while battling for the rewards attached to the challenge and gave the brand another opportunity to remind Nigerians everywhere that whatever the hustle, Supa Komando has the energy to help them fire on.
