The President of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), Dr Bolajoko Bayo-Ajayi, alongside the Lagos State Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment, Folashade Ambrose-Medebem, and Procter & Gamble’s Country Manager East & Central Africa, Chidera Ibekwe, are all in the lineup of distinguished guests scheduled to speak at this year’s Women in Marketing and Communications Conference and Awards (WIMCA), holding on August 29 at the Landmark Event Centre, Lagos.

Other speakers billed to take the stage at WIMCA 2026 include Dr Nkiru Olumide-Ojo of Standard Bank Group, Gloria Nwabuike of AACE Foods, Tolulope Medebem of Aster Integrated Marketing Limited, Funmi Osineye of Nestlé Nigeria and Bodam Taiwo of Diageo. The line-up further features Solape Akinpelu of Hervest, Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka, Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Nigeria, and Kenneth Iruonagbe of TGI Group.

Also on the roster are Dr Tola Bamigbaiye-Elatuyi, Chief Executive Officer of the Society for Corporate Governance in Nigeria and Olufunmilola Aluko, Chief Brand and Marketing Officer at Union Bank of Nigeria.

According to the convener Joshua Ajayi, this year’s conference with the theme “Grow, Give, Glow: Building Resilience for Distinction,” will have sessions built around resilience, ongoing learning, mentorship and authentic leadership within the marketing and communications space. The full-day programme will run alongside an exhibition, a gala dinner and an awards ceremony, which will include WIMCA’s annual recognition of the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Marketing and Communications.

Now in its 12th year, WIMCA has grown into the largest gathering of female marketing and communications professionals in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa, pulling in roughly 1,000 participants at every edition since it began in 2014. Organisers are projecting a similar turnout for this year’s event, with senior executives, agency leaders, entrepreneurs, academics and rising professionals expected to attend.
