Foremost food company, Golden Penny Foods alongside banking giants, Stanbic IBTC; NASCO Group, BIC, Vitazade and Munro are some of the corporate brands and organisations that have thrown their weight Mathema 3.0, the third edition of Nigeria’s premier secondary school competition billed for this Thursday, in Lagos.

Also supporting the competition which is now in its third edition is Africa’s most consistent and most award brands, marketing and advertising journal, Brand Communicator, alongside location marketing giants, Alpha & Jam and Brandleep.

Speaking on this year’s edition of the event, lead convener of Mathema 3.0, Segun Osuneye revealed that the annual mathematics competition and leadership conference billed for LTV will have schools and students across Nigeria, particularly from the South West vying for the top price of about three million naira across junior and senior catgories.

He emphasized that since its first edition, Mathema is dedicated to making mathematics accessible, inspiring, and transformative for secondary school students across Nigeria starting with South-West Nigeria through competitions, leadership conferences, creative exhibitions, and educator development programmes.

Speaking on the partnership with Mathema, Joshua Ajayi, Chief Executive Officer of Awesome Communications, publishers of Brand Comminicator, said the company is proud to stand behind a platform whose vision goes beyond a one-off competition. According to him, Mathema represents exactly the kind of exceptional, forward-looking initiative it wants its name associated with, one built to nurture young minds today and deliver visible, lasting impact on Nigeria’s education landscape in the years ahead. “In line with our Linking the Future mantra, we know we are backing a vision, something exceptional for young Nigerians, and we want to be part of that story from as early as possible.”

In a related development, this year’s edition of Mathema is extending its impact beyond competitions through “Mathema 100,” a long-term sponsorship initiative aimed at sending underprivileged but skilled students to school every year.

Come this Thursday, all eyes will be on Mathema 3.0 which promise to deliver its boldest edition yet, one where numbers meet art, and where corporate Nigeria’s biggest names are lending their brand equity to a movement reshaping how the country’s next generation experiences mathematics.
