The National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) has announced plans to induct a new crop of marketing professionals into the Institute at a ceremony scheduled for November 4, 2026, in Abuja, Nigeria.

The Institute recently announced the plan on its social media platforms, describing the event as an opportunity to welcome professionals into a new chapter of professional growth and development.

In its announcement, NIMN stated, “Welcoming Excellence, Celebrating Professionalism. A New Chapter in Professional Excellence.”

The Institute said the induction would welcome new Full and Associate Members, with the ceremony forming part of its broader commitment to professional development, networking and the advancement of marketing practice in Nigeria. NIMN has described its community as comprising professionals across marketing, sales, brand management, customer management, media planning and related fields.

As part of the programme, NIMN is offering professionals the opportunity to join the Institute through two categories under its Fast Track Executive Membership Programme.

The first is the Full Member Level, which is targeted at experienced marketing professionals.

Applicants are required to possess a B.Sc. or HND qualification, have a minimum of 10 years’ working experience at Marketing Manager level, and complete a mandatory two-day training programme.

Successful participants will receive professional recognition through Institute membership, a member identification card and access to member resources and events. They will also have opportunities for networking, capability development and career advancement.

The stated fees for the Full Member category are a N15,000 application fee, a N378,000 programme fee including induction, and a N50,000 mandatory training fee.

The second category is the Associate Level, designed for professionals with relevant experience in marketing functions.

Applicants for the Associate category are required to possess a B.Sc. or HND qualification, have at least five years’ working experience in a relevant marketing function, and complete the mandatory two-day training programme.

According to the membership information released by the Institute, Associate Members will be entitled to use their member identification and the designation “ANIMN”, alongside access to member resources and events. The programme also provides opportunities for professional development, networking and industry engagement.

The fees for the Associate category are a N15,000 application fee, a N252,000 programme fee including induction, and a N50,000 mandatory training fee.

The planned induction comes as NIMN continues to position professional development and continuous learning as important elements of the marketing profession in Nigeria.

The Institute has in recent months continued to promote professional education, industry engagement and membership development, including professional examinations and programmes aimed at advancing practitioners’ careers.

The November induction will therefore provide an avenue for successful applicants under the two membership categories to be formally received into the Institute and become part of its professional community.

With the Abuja ceremony scheduled for November 4, 2026, prospective members seeking to participate in the Fast Track Executive Membership Programme are expected to complete the applicable requirements ahead of the induction.

NIMN’s current public profile identifies it as a professional body for practitioners working across marketing and related disciplines, with its headquarters in Lagos.
