NIPR To Hold Roadshow In Kaduna Ahead Of WPRF 2026

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Kaduna State Chapter, has announced plans to hold a state-level roadshow on Saturday, October 3, 2026, as part of nationwide efforts to promote the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) Abuja 2026.
The roadshow, organised in line with a national directive by the NIPR, will take place simultaneously across Nigeria’s 36 states to raise awareness and mobilise support for the global gathering scheduled for November 15–22, 2026.
In Kaduna, the procession will commence at 8:00 a.m. from the NIPR Secretariat at No. 4 Yakubu Gowon Way, opposite Obasanjo House. Participants will proceed through Leventis Roundabout to Katsina Road Roundabout before terminating at Magajin Gari, at the office of the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Culture.
The Honourable Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Ahmed Maiyaki, is expected to deliver the closing remarks at the end of the procession.
The roadshow is designed to strengthen public awareness of WPRF Abuja 2026, encourage early registration and participation, mobilise institutions and stakeholders, showcase Nigeria’s capacity to host major international events, and sustain media visibility for the Forum ahead of its commencement.
WPRF Abuja 2026 is scheduled to be held at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, from November 15 to 22, 2026. The event is expected to attract more than 3,000 delegates from over 126 countries, bringing together public relations and communication professionals, industry leaders, academics, and other stakeholders worldwide.
The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management is organising the Forum in collaboration with the African Public Relations Association (APRA) and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
As part of efforts to ensure broad-based participation, the NIPR Kaduna State Chapter has called on its members, students, journalists, youth groups, media practitioners, institutional stakeholders and members of the general public to participate in the roadshow.
The Chapter said the exercise would enable Kaduna State to join other parts of the country in building national momentum for the Forum and positioning Nigeria as a destination for global conversations on public relations and strategic communication.
Dignitaries expected at the roadshow include the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Culture; the President of Jam’iyar Matan Arewa; the Managing Director of NOCACO; representatives of Farmtrack and Mothercat; the President of Rotary Club of Kaduna Queens; and other prominent personalities in the state.
To ensure participants’ safety and well-being, a team of medical personnel will be on hand to provide first aid and medical assistance before, during and after the procession.
The NIPR Kaduna State Chapter has reiterated the importance of collective participation in promoting WPRF Abuja 2026, describing the roadshow as an opportunity for stakeholders and residents to contribute to the visibility and success of Nigeria’s hosting of the international Forum.
