American Rhythm and Blues singer Brandy is set to perform live in Lagos on Sunday, December 20, 2026.
She will be headlining Flytime’s House of R&B at the Eko Convention Centre on Victoria Island.
The show will be open for six straight nights of concerts by Flytime during Detty December, during the festive season.
Organisers have described the Grammy-winning R&B star as the first international act confirmed for the event. The concert is sponsored by Glenmorangie.
Speaking in a video message, Brandy confirmed the date asking fans to follow the event’s Instagram page for details.
Flytime founder and chief executive Cecil Hammond said bringing her on board is “incredibly special.” “Brandy represents everything Flytime’s House of R&B celebrates, and she is the perfect artist to open our December season,” he said.
Chief operating officer Keke Hammond said the season would bring “six nights, each with its own identity and experience.”
Events are expected to unfold as follows after Brandy’s show; Coca-Cola Rhythm Unplugged takes place on December 21, followed by Flytime Fest Powered by Coca-Cola from December 22 to 24. Flytime Circle closes the run on Christmas Day. All six events are scheduled to hold at the Eko Convention Centre, and organisers say more lineup details will be announced in the coming weeks.
Brandy, whose full name is Brandy Norwood, is known to fans as “The Vocal Bible” for her layered harmonies and influence on R&B over more than three decades. She rose to fame in the mid-1990s with hits such as “The Boy Is Mine” and “Top of the World.”
It will not be her first time on a Lagos stage. She performed in the city in February 2014 at a Valentine’s concert at Eko Hotel and Suites on Victoria Island, alongside British reggae band UB40.
Flytime has built its reputation on December shows in Lagos since it was founded in 2004 by Cecil Hammond. Its stages have hosted acts such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido and Tems, as well as international names like Megan Thee Stallion, Boyz II Men and Bobby Brown.
