MultiChoice Nigeria has announced a new range of DStv and GOtv subscription packages, effective November 5, 2026. The new packages are part of the company’s efforts to simplify its subscription structure, improve value for money and make premium entertainment and live sports more accessible to Nigerian households.

DStv subscribers will choose from Starter, Select, Sports and Premium, while GOtv customers will have four options: Easy, Starter, Select and Sports.

The company said the revamped line-up was designed to provide simpler choices, more accessible entertainment and greater value, in response to changing viewing habits and customer preferences.

Speaking at the unveiling in Lagos, Kemi Omotosho, Chief Executive Officer of MultiChoice Nigeria, said the new structure reflected changes in viewers’ habits and the company’s commitment to offering more accessible content.

“Our focus is on giving subscribers better value and access to the entertainment they love,” Omotosho said.

She explained that the company’s strength lay in its combination of African entertainment, international content and live sports, adding that the new packages had been designed to cater to both general entertainment viewers and sports enthusiasts.

Omotosho said the changes were also part of a broader business strategy following MultiChoice’s integration into the CANAL+ Group, which she noted would provide opportunities to leverage global expertise in content, technology and operational practices.

According to her, the company recognises that audiences increasingly consume content across multiple platforms, including television sets, smartphones, tablets and computers.

She said the new offering was designed to address three key priorities: simplicity, better value for money and greater choice.

According to MultiChoice, the DStv Starter package, priced at N6,000, will feature two new channels: SuperSport KICKOFF, which will broadcast the Premier League Match of the Week and selected UEFA Champions League fixtures, and Africa Magic+, offering local and international entertainment.

The Select package, available at N11,000, will provide family entertainment, including movie channels, local and international series, selected football and other sporting events, as well as children’s channels.

At N21,000, the new Sports package is designed primarily for football fans, offering every Premier League and UEFA Champions League match, alongside WWE and UFC programming. It will also include the general entertainment channels available on the Select package.

The Premium package, which retains its 44, 000 is DStv’s most comprehensive offering, combining the content available on Sports with additional sporting events, including Formula 1, MotoGP, Grand Slam tennis tournaments and major golf championships. Subscribers will also have access to international series on M-Net.

MultiChoice is also refreshing its movie offering with M-Net Movies+, M-Net Stars and M-Net Legends, which the company says will provide more blockbuster films, faster access to new releases and fewer repeats.

The company also revealed that GOtv customers will also receive a revised package line-up when the changes take effect on November 5.

According to the company, the new structure, comprising Easy, Starter, Select and Sports, is intended to simplify package selection while expanding access to entertainment and sports content.

The company said the changes formed part of its commitment to creating a more customer-focused portfolio across Africa, in line with CANAL+’s global offer strategy.

Also speaking at the unveiling, Tope Oshunkeye, Senior Vice-President of Communications at MultiChoice Nigeria, said the new packages were designed to deliver more content and choice across different subscription levels.

He highlighted the company’s focus on making entertainment accessible to a broader audience while giving subscribers more options to match their viewing preferences.

The new line-up, he said, would allow customers to choose from entry-level entertainment to more comprehensive packages featuring premium sports, movies and series.

As part of efforts to attract new customers, MultiChoice said its hardware promotion was still available for both DStv and GOtv.

Under the offer, new customers can purchase a decoder, full installation kit and one-month entry-level subscription for N15,000.

Customers can also access DStv content through the DStv Stream application as a standalone service, with subscriptions starting at N6,000.

The company said the offers were intended to widen access to its entertainment services and provide customers with more ways to watch their preferred content.

The new package structure marks a significant change to MultiChoice Nigeria’s subscription offerings, with the company positioning simplicity, affordability and expanded content access as the central features of the revamp.
