One of Nigeria’s foremost multidisciplinary and marketing communications agencies, Verdant Zeal, has lined up series of activities to highlight the celebration of its tenth anniversary.
Speaking to the press during a media parley, Nkiruka Oguadinma, Group Director, Marketing and Business Development and chairman for the anniversary celebration for the agency says, “We are not going about our celebrations just as staffs who work here, we are celebrating with our vendors, clients, people who have stood by us, our stakeholders and businesses we have also helped to thrive.”
Nkiruka explained that the programmes lined up for the celebration are a thanksgiving at its 15b Sowemimo GRA Ikeja premises on the 1st of March, a photo exhibition at the Renaissance Hotel, Ikeja tagged: “Journeys and Discoveries,” the Quantum Awards Night, billed to hold in the evening at the Civic Centre, Lagos on the 23rd of March and the Reunion (TGIF) to be held the following day by 6pm at a yet to be decided venue.
In the same vein, Verdant Zeal will also hold its 6th annual Innovention series on the 23rd of March 2017 at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island.
This year’s series is themed: “How Technology is driving Africa’s new narrative” and the keynote lecture is tentatively to be delivered by Mr. Segun Agbaje, MD/CEO, GTBank.
Speaking on the rationale behind this year’s theme, Dipo Adesida, Agency’s Group Director, Content Synergy and Strategy, has the following to say: “The reason why we are doing this is because, across the continent, indices show that we have a huge populations but also several other deficits in terms of education, child mortality among other things.
“However, when you look at technology and Africa’s adoption of it, it depicts. This shows that if Africa is going to make any substantial progress with in the amount of time this civilization will last, technology will perhaps be our best way of getting there.
“For us this year, we are asking, how is technology driving this narrative?”
The event will be chaired by Hakeem Belo-Osagie, Chairman, Etisalat Nigeria and moderated by Muyiwa Moyela, Editor-at-Large at Forbes Africa. Discussants expected at the event are Joel Chimhanda, Founder, JC Capital who will be making his second back to back appearance, and Nnamdi Ezeigbo, Founder, SLOT. Others are Ken Njoroge, Temie Giwa, Afua Osei, Maya Horgan and Opeyemi Awoyemi.
