EXMAN Congratulates Oyegbola On Electoral Success, As Fagade Receives New Govt. Appointment

The Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria (EXMAN), has congratulated the Managing Director of Havas Africa, Lanre Oyegbola on his victory during the just concluded local government elections in Ogun State held last Saturday, November 16th, 2024.
Oyegbola was the chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Abeokuta North Local Government in Ogun State. He was announced the winner of the election and was declared elected by the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC).
Another report that created waves of excitement within the industry was the recent appointment of a prominent player and Founder/ CEO of Sodium Group, Abisoye Fagade, by the federal government as Director-General of, the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism.
Along with Fagade three other appointments were announced; Mr. Olawale Olopade — Director-General, National Sports Commission, Dr. Adebowale Adedokun — Director-General, Bureau of Public Procurement and Daniel Bwala — Special Adviser, Media and Public Communications (State House).
President Bola Tinuibu urged the newly appointed officers to discharge their duties with dedication, patriotism, and excellence.
While wishing Lanre Oyegbola greater continued political success, EXMAN prayed that this new chapter should bring him greater achievement ahead.
Lanre Oyegbola, advancement to contest the local government elections in Ogun state was a remarkable one. Until his resounding electoral victory, he was the Managing Director of Havas Africa in Nigeria and Ghana, where he played a key role in leading the company’s business growth and expansion strategy in the two West African countries.
Before joining Havas, he started Boomerang Communication Solutions Limited. He also served as Group Executive Director at Verdant Zeal Group, a leading marketing communications company in Lagos. Among numerous academic qualifications, he holds an MSc. in Marketing from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom, and he is a registered member of many professional bodies including the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON).
The state electoral body last Sunday (November 17), presented the Certificates of Return to the newly-elected chairman, his Vice Chairman, and the 16 Councillors from the local government.
The elected Chairmen, Vice Chairmen and Councillors from the remaining 19 local government areas also received their Certificates of Return from OGSIEC.
Speaking on the election, Lanre Oyegbola, commended the voters for turning out in large numbers to exercise their franchise, while also commending OGSIEC for conducting a free and fair election.
“It’s quite impressive in terms of the very significant turnout. It’s not just a segment of the society; we can see the elderly, the young people, the males and females so it’s been quite commendable,” he stressed.
