ARCON To Decode Nigeria’s New Tax Regime For IMC Industry In Second Webinar In 2026

As Nigeria’s fiscal scene continues to evolve, the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) is stepping forward with what promises to be one of the most consequential industry conversations of 2026.
The regulator has announced plans to host a strategic webinar themed “The New Tax Regime: Implications for the Integrated Marketing Communications Industry,” billed to take place on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 12:00 noon to 1:20 pm (WAT) on Zoom.
Designed as a high-level knowledge session, the virtual event aims to equip advertising, media, and marketing communications professionals with the clarity and foresight needed to navigate Nigeria’s evolving tax environment.
ARCON’s Director-General, Olalekan Fadolapo, will host the session, reinforcing the Council’s commitment to proactive engagement and policy interpretation for stakeholders.
The keynote address will be delivered by Femi Olarinde, Head, Fiscal and Tax Reforms Implementation Division, National Revenue Services. With decades of hands-on experience in fiscal policy design, tax administration, and reform implementation, Olarinde is expected to provide authoritative insights into the philosophy behind the new tax regime, its compliance framework, and its broader economic objectives.
Beyond policy interpretation, the webinar will feature a robust panel discussion anchored by distinguished industry leaders who will translate fiscal reforms into real-world implications for agencies and brand communications operations.
Panelists include: Tunji Adeyinka, Group Managing Director, The Republican Group; Jehoshaphat Akinadewo, Regional Head, Quality Control, Omnicom Media Group WeCA and Obinna Aniche, Group President, Red Slate Group Ltd
Together, they are expected to examine how the new tax structure could influence agency profitability, media buying models, cross-border transactions, client billing structures, and compliance systems.
Moderating the panel session will be Hannah Oyebanjo, CEO, Redwood Consulting Ltd, whose experience in advisory and strategic communications is expected to guide a focused and solutions-driven dialogue.
This upcoming session follows ARCON’s first webinar of the year, held on February 10, themed “Navigating Economic Realities: Lessons from 2025, Strategies for 2026.”
The high-level virtual gathering attracted nearly 200 participants from across the country, reflecting strong industry appetite for structured dialogue amid economic uncertainty.
During that session, Dr. Fadolapo pledged sustained engagement with stakeholders, emphasising innovation, collaboration, and consumer value as the pillars for industry resilience. The February webinar was widely regarded as a significant step toward repositioning Nigeria’s advertising ecosystem for sustainable growth in 2026 and beyond.
The March tax-focused webinar appears to be a direct continuation of that strategic roadmap, moving from broad economic reflection to specific regulatory and fiscal adaptation.
By convening regulators, tax reform architects, and frontline industry leaders in one forum, ARCON is reinforcing its evolving role not just as a watchdog but as a strategic partner in industry development.
