AAAN Announces 53rd Annual General Meeting, Unveils ‘ADvolution’ Theme For Industry’s Next Chapter

The Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) has announced plans for its 53rd Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled to hold on July 23 and 24, 2026, at the Providence Hotel, Lagos, with industry leaders set to examine the future of advertising in an era of rapid technological and market transformation.
The two-day event, themed “ADvolution: The End of Advertising as We Know It and How to Win What Comes Next,” will bring together advertising professionals, marketers, media executives, creative leaders, and business decision-makers to explore how agencies and brands can remain competitive in a rapidly evolving communications landscape.
Describing the conference theme as more than a slogan, AAAN said in a social media announcement, “This isn’t just a theme. It’s a challenge to rethink, reimagine, and redefine what’s possible. The next chapter begins now. Welcome to ADvolution.”
The conference will feature keynote addresses by Tomiwa Aladekomo, Chief Executive Officer of Big Cabal Media, and Dr. Meksley Nwaboh, Chief Marketing Officer of Fidelity Bank. Drawing from their extensive experience across media, technology and marketing, both speakers are expected to share insights on the changing dynamics of media, marketing, consumer engagement, innovation, and the future of brand communications.
A high-level panel discussion will also form a major highlight of the conference, bringing together leading voices from across the marketing communications ecosystem. The panel includes Damola Richard Salvador, CEO and Lead Strategist at digiSplash; Tobiloba Beckly Williams, Creative Director at 7even Interactive Limited; Olusegun Akinyemiju, Marketing Manager at MSS Guinness; and Rotimi Ade-Onajobi, Creative Director at Spice 360.
The session will be moderated by Oyindamola Fakile, Creative Alchemist, who will guide conversations on how agencies and brands can adapt, innovate, and thrive amid shifting consumer behaviours, emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and new business realities.
Activities will commence on Thursday, July 23, with the AAAN Business Session beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the Providence Hotel, Lagos. The main AGM Conference will take place on Friday, July 24, from 10:00 a.m., featuring keynote addresses, panel discussions, and strategic conversations on the future of advertising.
The event will conclude with the AGM Dinner and Award Night on Friday, July 24, beginning at 10:00 p.m., where outstanding achievements and excellence within Nigeria’s advertising industry will be celebrated.
As one of the Nigerian advertising industry’s flagship annual gatherings, the AAAN AGM provides a platform for members and stakeholders to deliberate on industry issues, strengthen collaboration, and chart a course for the future of marketing communications.
With this year’s theme challenging conventional thinking, the 53rd AGM is expected to spark conversations on how agencies can reinvent themselves and seize new opportunities in an increasingly digital, data-driven, and technology-powered advertising landscape.
