Tasks 6: Pepsi Takes BBNaija S11 By Storm With ‘Thirsty for More’ Task, Team Highlife Wins

Pepsi has always taken the Big Brother Naija house by storm with electrifying performances, dominating energy, music, good dance moves and a pure party vibe. This year, however, the brand took that experience to another level by bringing the pitch and the stage together, taking over Day 27 of the Big Brother Naija Season 11 reality show with its “Thirsty for More” task.
The sixth sponsored brand task of the season brought together the 20 “Show Ya Sef” housemates for an evening built around three of Pepsi’s strongest cultural territories: music, style and football. The task was not simply a competition; it was a carefully curated brand experience that transformed the Big Brother Arena into a football pitch and allowed the housemates to perform, compete and create memorable entertainment.
The concept also fitted neatly into Pepsi’s global “Thirsty for More” platform, which encourages consumers to pursue what they love, choose enjoyment and make everyday moments more exciting.
That philosophy has long made the Big Brother Naija platform a natural playground for Pepsi. Through its activations, the brand has consistently used the show’s massive entertainment spotlight to associate itself with fun, music, social connection and memorable moments. From being a familiar accompaniment around meal times to adding to the atmosphere of Saturday night parties, Pepsi has positioned itself within the everyday experiences that keep the housemates entertained.
The Day 27 activation pushed that connection further by introducing football into the familiar Pepsi mix of music and entertainment. The move is particularly timely as Pepsi continues to deepen its association with football globally. In March 2026, the brand unveiled Pepsi Football Nation, a platform designed to celebrate football culture beyond the 90 minutes, connecting the sport with music, food, fandom and everyday experiences.
Inside the Big Brother house, the “Thirsty for More” task began with two lucky dips. The first determined the captains, while the second selected the team names. Four teams emerged: Team Highlife, Team Afrobeat, Team Hip-Hop and Team R&B.
The captains then picked headsets containing songs corresponding with their teams’ music genres. After listening carefully, each group created dance routines incorporating football moves and rehearsed for its Pepsi Half-Time Show.
The teams had 40 minutes to rehearse at four designated locations around the Biggie mansion before heading to the Arena.
The competition opened with a penalty shootout and a “Guess the Groove” charades round before moving into the evening’s centrepiece, the Pepsi Half-Time Show. The teams also entered the Pepsi Fashion Lab, where they had five minutes to accessorise their merchandise and create looks that reflected their identities. They subsequently took to the stage to showcase their dance routines.
The 20 housemates held nothing back, combining choreography, football-inspired moves, fashion and personality in a contest that ultimately belonged to Team Highlife.
With a total of 35 points, Team Highlife emerged as the winner of Pepsi’s sixth brand task of the season, taking home the Pepsi Task trophy.
More than a task, the activation demonstrated how Pepsi continues to turn its brand promise into experiences, bringing together music, football, style, food and entertainment to create the kind of joyful moments its “Thirsty for More” philosophy is built on. And as the housemates prepared for the Saturday night party, Pepsi had once again succeeded in making itself part of the entertainment, rather than merely sponsoring it.
