Airtel Nigeria Opens Two New Lagos Outlets As Retail Network Tops 350

Airtel Nigeria has opened two new premium experience centres in Lagos. The centres were commissioned by Airtel Africa Group Chief Executive Officer Sunil Taldar, as the telecom operator pushes its nationwide retail network past 350 outlets on its way to a target of 500.
The new centres located at DAT Mall in Sangotedo and at Marina, Lagos form part of Airtel Nigeria’s ongoing expansion of physical retail touchpoints designed to bring the company’s connectivity and digital services closer to customers across the country.
Speaking at the commissioning, Taldar said the expansion reflected the company’s confidence in the Nigerian market. “Nigeria is one of the most important markets in the Airtel Africa portfolio,” he said, adding that the company’s commitment to the country was long-term.
The centres offer customers access to mobile connectivity, Fibre, Home Broadband, Outdoor Units and enterprise solutions, alongside subscriptions, enquiries, after-sales support and service resolution, all under one roof. The new Marina centre is powered by solar energy, extending Airtel’s use of renewable energy across its retail footprint.
With the latest openings, Airtel Nigeria now operates more than 9,000 exclusive shops, over 350 premium experience centres and more than 73,000 retailers nationwide. The company said the retail expansion runs alongside a wider customer experience strategy that includes digital self-service platforms, AI-powered customer support and nationwide customer forums.
The recent launch builds on an earlier rollout this month, when Airtel Nigeria unveiled 350 of its planned 500 premium experience centres nationwide in Onikan, Lagos. The expansion comes as Nigerian telecom operators increasingly invest in customer experience infrastructure, with rival MTN Nigeria having opened a digitised 5G experience centre in Abuja in 2024 offering independent self-service options for SIM sales, airtime, data plans and devices.
