Dano Milk’s presence in the Big Brother Naija house has consistently given housemates and viewers opportunities to learn more about quality nutrition, particularly its importance to children’s growth and development, as well as the wellbeing of the entire family.

The latest Dano Milk task, the ninth sponsored brand task of the ongoing BBNaija season, continued this approach by combining entertainment, competition, and nutrition education. The task was carefully aligned with Dano’s wider promise of providing nutritious, quality dairy products designed to meet the changing needs of families. Arla, Dano’s farmer-owned parent company, says its milk products are developed to provide nutrition for both children and families while maintaining high quality and continuous innovation.

With high energy and excitement, the housemates brought their A-game to the event, which was structured around Dano Milk’s diverse product portfolio and the nutritional benefits associated with milk.

The housemates were divided through a lucky dip into four teams: Team Powdered Milk, Team Yoghurt, Team UHT Milk and Team Evap Milk. Each team was challenged to demonstrate its knowledge while creatively communicating the role of nutrition in healthy living.

The task was divided into three segments: Presentation, Nutrient Word Puzzle and Nutrient Hunt.

During the Nutrient Word Puzzle, the teams raced against time to identify nutrition-related words hidden within crossword puzzles. Among the words and nutrients featured were Vitamin B12, Vitamin B2, calcium, milk and cow. The exercise reinforced some of the key nutrients associated with milk, including calcium, protein and vitamins that contribute to healthy growth and development. Dano notes that milk provides important nutrients such as protein, calcium, phosphorus, Vitamin A, Vitamin B2 and Vitamin B12.

The Nutrient Hunt added another physical dimension to the competition. A team member had to search through a pit filled with balls, pick one up and pass it to another teammate, who then threw it into a transparent structure carrying the inscription, “Choose Dano Milk.”

The final and most elaborate challenge was the presentation segment. Using study materials supplied by Biggie, each team received nutrients and two life values, which they incorporated into a five-minute story highlighting quality nutrition, children’s growth and development and overall family wellbeing. Their presentations ultimately connected these lessons to Dano Milk as a choice for everyday family nutrition.

Beyond the games, the task offered viewers a closer look at Dano’s range, including Dano Full Cream, Dano Cool Cow, Dano Slim, Dano VitaKids, Dano UHT and Dano Evaporated Milk. The brand’s portfolio caters to different nutritional and lifestyle needs, with products offering nutrients such as protein, calcium and vitamins A, D, B2 and B12.

Dano also used the platform to reinforce how its products can fit into everyday meals and occasions, from tea, coffee, cereals and pap to smoothies, milkshakes, cooking and baking. Its evaporated milk range, for instance, is positioned as a versatile addition to cereals, beverages, smoothies, pancakes and desserts.

The educational element extended to production, with viewers learning that Dano’s powdered milk involves removing moisture from milk to extend shelf life, while its UHT range is made from fresh cow’s milk and is preservative-free.

At the end of the fun but intensive competition, Team Evap Milk, comprising Bells, Flora, Ricky and Tram, emerged victorious with 90 points. The task was followed by a nourishing break at the Dano x Lurpak Nourishing Corner, where the housemates made sandwiches using supplied ingredients and recipe cards.

The Dano Milk task therefore went beyond a conventional brand activation. By placing nutrition, creativity and teamwork at the centre of the experience, Dano successfully turned the BBNaija spotlight into an engaging lesson on making informed choices about nutrition while showcasing the breadth of its dairy offering.
