Stanbic IBTC Rakes In N239.68bn Profit In H1 2026, Declares N4.50 Interim Dividend

Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc has reported a profit after tax (PAT) of N239.68 billion for the half-year ended June 30, 2026, in its unaudited financial report.

This represents a 38.20% year-on-year (YoY) increase from N173.43 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2025. Profit before tax (PBT) also rose by 40.13% to N341.57 billion from N243.74 billion, reflecting stronger overall profitability despite a decline in interest income.

According to the financial report, the interest income decreased by 5.40% to N359.10 billion from N379.61 billion in H1 2025. Despite this moderation, the Group recorded significant growth in its bottom line during the period.
The Group also declared an interim dividend of N4.50 per share, subject to applicable withholding tax and regulatory requirements, providing an additional income consideration for shareholders.

Going forward, investors will need to monitor the sustainability of earnings growth, the contribution of non-interest income, asset quality trends and the impact of changing interest-rate conditions on the Group’s financial performance.

Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc recorded interest income of N359.10 billion in H1 2026, representing a 5.40% decline from N379.61 billion reported in H1 2025.

Profit before tax increased by 40.13% year on year to N341.57 billion from N243.74 billion, while profit after tax grew by 38.20% to N239.68 billion from N173.43 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year. The company’s share price currently stands at N164 per share.
