Power Oil has marked the 10th edition of WalkHeartOn, its annual initiative designed to encourage Nigerians to embrace healthier lifestyles and prioritise heart health. Held on October 1, 2026, at The Stables Sports Ground in Surulere, Lagos, WalkHeartOn 10.0 recorded 25,536 registrations and 11,896 physical attendees.

The milestone demonstrates the scale the initiative has achieved over the past decade, evolving from a traditional fitness walk into a broader platform for wellness, community and engagement. Participants at the 10th edition experienced a range of activities beyond the walk itself, including fitness sessions, health checks, games, refreshments, music and entertainment.

Commenting on the milestone, Roland Akpe, Marketing Manager, Oils and Fats Portfolio at Tolaram, said, “For the past decade, WalkHeartOn has been an important part of Power Oil’s commitment to promoting healthier hearts and active living among Nigerians. We believe that heart health requires a holistic approach that goes beyond healthy eating to include regular movement and healthier lifestyle choices. As we mark 10 years of WalkHeartOn in celebration of World Heart Day, we remain committed to creating initiatives that inspire Nigerians to take action for their hearts and make healthier living part of their everyday lives.”

The annual event held in celebration of World Heart Day reflects the growing importance of experiential platforms in encouraging consumers to engage with health and wellness messages in more relatable ways. For Power Oil, WalkHeartOn provides an opportunity to extend its heart-health positioning beyond product communication by creating a real-world experience where consumers can actively participate in the brand’s message.

As WalkHeartOn enters its next chapter, its 10th anniversary offers a strong indication of the longevity that can be achieved when a brand purpose is consistently translated into meaningful consumer experiences. A decade later, the message remains simple: every step towards a healthier heart counts.
