Serengeti Breweries Limited has appointed Dr. Obinna Anyalebechi as its Managing Director with effect from 1st of March 2023.
He will replace Mark Ocitti who has moved to Kenya as the Managing Director for Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL).
Dr. Obinna joined Diageo in June 2012 in the role of Marketing Manager (Guinness), Guinness Nigeria PLC. He held other roles in Guinness PLC including Customer Marketing Director and Divisional Field Sales Director.
He was thereafter appointed as the Commercial Director, Guinness Ghana in July 2018. In September 2021, he moved to London to join the Diageo Great Britain Leadership Team in the role of Field Sales & Operations Director.
Prior to joining Diageo, he held marketing roles at Promasidor Nigeria Limited and Unilever Nigeria PLC.
Dr. Obinna has expansive experience in Commercial, Consumer Marketing, and Customer Marketing spanning over 16 years. He has worked in different multinationals, across geographies.
He holds a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Nigeria. He is an alumnus of the Darden School of Business, Cranfield School of Management, and the I.E. Business School.
He has also attended management courses at Harvard Business School, Yale School of Management, and IMD.
