World Out-of-Home Organisation Signs Up 15 New Members

Following a highly successful World Congress in Hong Kong, the World Out of Home Organization (WOO) has increased its coverage of the global OOH industry by signing up another 15 organisations.

Commenting on the new additions, WOO Chief Operating Officer Mark Flys said,  “With the pace of change in Out of Home accelerating every year, WOO is now providing the perfect forum for all sectors of the industry to come together to learn from each other and develop the medium even further.”

Six of the new members are from the APAC region, five from Europe, two from the United States, one from MENA and one from Africa.

The Remat Al-Riyadh Development Company is WOO’s first member from Saudi Arabia, while the increased interest from Asia reflects the dynamic growth of OOH in that region.

Eight of the new members are national media owners, five are OOH service providers/suppliers, and there is one global media agency and one national OOH association.

The countries represented include the UK, the US, France, Japan, and Switzerland. Pakistan, Indonesia, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Azerbaijan and Finland.

The new members include the following:

Billups, a global media agency from the US, Kakao Mobility Corp, a national media owner from the Republic of Korea, Goldbach Neo, a national media owner from Switzerland, Jeki, an OOH service provider/supplier from  Japan, Music Now, a national media owner from South Africa, BillboardPlanet, an OOH service provider/supplier, Trueform, an OOH service provider/supplier from UK and Pixei Group, a national media owner from Indonesia.

Others include Go Media, a national media owner from New Zealand,
What the Shop, an OOH service provider/supplier from France, Outshine, a national media owner from Finland, Purl. app, an OOH service provider/supplier from the UK, FOMA, a national association from Pakistan, Remat Al-Riyadh, a national media owner from  Saudi Arabia and Times Consulting, a national media owner from Azerbaijan.

The World Out of Home Organisation is the only global Out of Home Association, working to promote and improve the OOH industry on behalf of its members.

Board members include the major international companies – JCDecaux and Clear Channel – as well as blowUP media from Europe, OUTFRONT Media and Lamar from the US, Provantage from South Africa, oOh!media from Australia and Asiaray from Hong Kong. In addition, the following OOH associations are represented on the Board, the OAAA in the US, Alooh from Latin America, the IOAA from India, the FAW from Germany and the OMA in Australia.

Membership is open to all companies who operate in the OOH sector and, as a non-profit Organisation, funds are reinvested in industry issues such as research and the annual international congress.

WOO is a member of EASA in Europe, as well as a founding member of ICAS, and actively works to help the membership with legislation issues within their own countries as well. It also aims to lobby for Out of Home advertising with authorities, international organizations, opinion formers and other elements of the communication media.
