Adeleye Fabusoro Joins CIG As Group Marketing & Corporate Communication Director

Marketing communications professional, Adeleye Fabusoro has been appointed Group Marketing and Corporate Communication Director for CIG Group, a conglomerate with portfolios spanning industries.
In his new role, Fabusoro will spearhead marketing, PR and corporate communication initiatives across a diverse portfolio of the company’s esteemed brands, including GAC Motors, Lagride, Wulling, Lontor, and Gree, overseeing all marketing efforts within the group’s multiple business units.
With an impressive career trajectory, Fabusoro brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success in various high-profile roles. For over 20 years, he has crafted compelling stories that resonate deeply, whether through TV series, feature films, documentaries, podcasts, or commercials, from telling the untold tales of Africa to creating human-centred brand experiences. His work combines creativity and strategy to deliver content that sparks emotion and drives results.
Before joining the CIG Group, he was the Head of West Africa for CNBC and Forbes Africa, where he led transformative initiatives, blending his expertise in content production, business strategy, and market dynamics to scale operations and connect brands with their audiences. He thrives on turning ideas into bold, captivating stories that don’t just sell but stick in this capacity.
His tenure as Head of Development and Production for Dentsu Storylab further cemented his strategic marketing and leadership expertise.
Fabusoro’s career journey started in retail banking, where he spent 7 years decoding consumer behaviour and market trends across Africa. That foundation gave him an edge in understanding what makes people tick—a skill I’ve carried into media and storytelling.
His extensive industry experience is complemented by his impactful work as a UN consultant, where he had the unique opportunity to collaborate across 18 African nations, offering innovative solutions and driving sustainable growth initiatives. His earlier career in the banking industry equipped him with a diverse skill set and a profound understanding of business.
He holds a doctorate in Fine Arts from Prowess University, a postgraduate diploma in Data Science and Business Analytics from the University of Texas at Austin, an MBA from Obafemi Awolowo, and a BA (Hons) from the University of Ibadan.
