Guinness Nigeria Recognized For Excellence At The 2024 ADVAN Awards, Secures Top Honors in CSR and Consumer Engagement

Guinness Nigeria continues to set the standard for impact-driven initiatives and brand excellence, securing prestigious recognitions at the 2024 Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) Awards. The company was honored with 3rd place in the CSR Campaign of the Year for its transformative Plan W initiative and 2nd place in the Consumer Promotion of the Year for the Smirnoff Ice “Chill and Win Big” campaign.

The ADVAN Award for CSR Campaign of the Year recognized Plan W, Guinness Nigeria’s long-standing initiative launched in 2019 to empower vulnerable women across Nigeria. Sponsored by Malta Guinness, the program provides women, often struggling single mothers, physically or visually impaired, with capacity building for setting up small micro businesses, trade assets, and business mentorship, enabling them to establish and sustain businesses. To date, Plan W has benefited over 1,400 women across eight states, including 10% of participants living with disabilities.
Guinness Nigeria’s Smirnoff Ice “Chill and Win Big” campaign, which secured 2nd place in the Consumer Promotion of the Year category, was recognized for its bold and innovative approach to consumer engagement. The campaign, which offered prizes such as cash, airtime, gadgets, and an exclusive trip to Zanzibar with music star Omah Lay, not only rewarded consumers but also reinforced Smirnoff Ice’s position as the #1 Beer/RTD brand in 2024, driving brand love, awareness, and trial for Smirnoff Ice Pineapple Punch.
