Live leaderboards and weekly media coverage kept audiences engaged, transforming mechanics into Hyde Energy’s biggest unpaid ambassadors, proudly advocating for its lubricants.

The campaign delivered outstanding results, reaching over 16 million people and driving a 30% increase in product sales, achieving deep market penetration across all 36 states in Nigeria while fostering strong brand loyalty and ambassadorship among stakeholders.  

The Entertainment sector was also a key focus for SKOT Communications they led a campaign for Netflix’s “Her Voice, Our Story” for International Women’s Day 2024. This campaign was an event focused on celebrating the unique perspectives and remarkable stories of African women in the creative industry, those in front of and behind the camera and the diverse storytelling by women and about women. It also featured exciting and diverse slate of upcoming films and series championed by women to curate a memorable experience that reinforced Netflix’s role in shaping cultural narratives.

Background                   

Skot Communications is a big player on the Nigerian public relations scene following its acquisition of the business and assets of Hill & Knowlton Nigeria in 2024.

This business venture opened its doors last year and is headed by Tokunboh George-Taylor, who was previously managing director of Hill & Knowlton Nigeria, which she helped establish in 2015.

Skot takes over the staff complement of 21 people, as well as the client base. These include Netflix, Visa, GE Vernova, Dorman Long, Shell and FBNQuest Merchant Bank.

The new public relations agency is positioned as a global strategic communications consultancy with a focus on Sub-Saharan Africa. It works across sectors including financial and professional services, energy, consumer, technology, healthcare, entertainment and sports, and education and women.
