Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage is set to close out a landmark week with a grand finale concert on Sunday, April 26, celebrating more than 100 emerging creatives who have just completed training under her music foundation program.

The concert will be held at the iconic National Theatre now reborn as the Wole Soyinka Center for Culture and the Creative Arts in Lagos, a venue whose storied walls make it the perfect backdrop for a night dedicated to the future of African music.

The program will be anchored by fan-favorite hosts Darey Art Alade and Kie Kie, which promises ensemble performances and original compositions crafted by the participants themselves during their week of intensive training. The Program will also feature scholarship awards which will be presented to standout creatives on the night.

The programme, tagged “Berklee in Nigeria: Tiwa Savage Emerging Musicianship Intensive,” ran from April 22 to 26 and immersed participants in hands-on training across performance, songwriting, music production, and the business side of the industry.

Ahead of the finale, Savage noted that the initiative was about dismantling the walls that keep raw talent and access within the African’s creative industry. She said,“I want the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation to be a bridge that connects African talent to global opportunities, a recognized institution that consistently develops talent from Nigeria and across Africa.”

She added that her ambitions stretch far beyond simply launching the next wave of recording artists.
“I don’t just want to launch artists; I want to build leaders, producers, executives, and owners who will shape the future of the music industry,” she said.

In her remarks, foundation was established to champion creatives who have long been overlooked, giving them access to world-class training, mentorship, and real career pathways.

Savage said the alumni of the program are expected to grow into becoming film composers, label executives, and mentors who will eventually pour back into the next generation the same way someone once poured into them.

She said“Music changed my life, but talent alone isn’t enough, especially when access is limited. I want to open people’s eyes to the full scope of what’s possible in music.”
