The President of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), Dr. Bola Joko Bayo-Ajayi, the immediate past president of the Institute, Mr Idorenyen Enang and some distinguished members of the NIPR, including Mr Chido Nwakama, a veteran communications expert, have been conferred with the status of fellows at the 63rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of NIPR held during the Nigerian Public Relations Week in Kaduna.

Others include Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives; Hon. Bello Goronyo, Minister of State for Works; and Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, who was additionally named World PR Forum Governance Ambassador. In total, 109 new fellows and inductees were recognized, carefully selected in line with global best practices.

The induction underscores a Memorandum of Understanding signed between NIPR and NIMN, designed to foster integrated professional practice. Dr. Bayo-Ajayi emphasized that while different sectors have unique niches, the ultimate ecosystem remains unified. “Marketing is one, irrespective of different segments,” she stated, highlighting the importance of collective impact.

NIPR President Dr. Ike Neliaku described the institute as an “icon of reputation,” noting that the 109 new inductees were picked after a rigorous selection process. The induction signals a transformative era as NIPR prepares to host the World Public Relations Forum in Abuja later this year.
