BUA Foods To Hold Fifth Annual General Meeting On July 15

BUA Foods Plc will hold its fifth Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, where shareholders will consider the company’s audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2025, alongside other statutory and governance matters.
The meeting follows what the company described as a strong financial year, during which it recorded growth in revenue, profitability and assets while strengthening its position in Nigeria’s food manufacturing sector.
According to the company, revenue for the 2025 financial year rose by 16 per cent to ₦1.77 trillion, while profit after tax increased by 95 per cent to ₦518.4 billion. Total assets also grew by 27 per cent to ₦1.39 trillion, driven by continued investment in manufacturing capacity, operational efficiency and long-term value creation.
The Board of Directors has proposed a dividend of ₦28.00 per ordinary share, representing a total payout of approximately ₦504 billion, subject to shareholders’ approval at the AGM.
Commenting ahead of the meeting, Managing Director of BUA Foods Plc, Ayodele Abioye, said the AGM provides an opportunity to engage shareholders, review the company’s performance and discuss its future direction.
He noted that despite operating in a challenging business environment, the company remained resilient through disciplined execution and a continued commitment to delivering quality food products. He attributed the performance to the support of customers, suppliers, employees, the board and other stakeholders.
Abioye added that BUA Foods will continue to focus on long-term value creation through investments in capacity expansion and manufacturing capabilities aimed at strengthening food security and supporting national development.
Listed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited, BUA Foods manufactures and distributes sugar, flour, pasta, rice and edible oils across Nigeria and West Africa. The company says it remains committed to delivering affordable, high-quality food products while creating sustainable value for stakeholders.
