PRCAN To Host AI-Driven Strategic Communication Summit, March 24

The Public Relations Practitioners of Nigeria (PRCAN), through its PRCAN Knowledge Hub, has announced a high-level strategic communications programme focused on the future of public relations in an AI-driven world.
Themed “AI-Driven Strategic Communication: Mastering Algorithmic Disruption and Digital Volatility,” with the sub-theme “Rewriting the PR Playbook: AI-Driven Storytelling, Media Intelligence and Reputation Management,” the hybrid event will take place on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Lagos Marriott Hotel Ikeja, 122 Joel Ogunnaike Street, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.
According to the association, the programme is designed to equip government, regulatory and corporate communicators with the tools and insight needed to navigate an era defined by digital disruption and algorithmic volatility.

The main session will be delivered by Karl Haechler, CEO of Burson Africa, a global communications leader with extensive experience across African and South African markets.
Haechler brings decades of expertise in strategic corporate communications, public affairs, and reputation advisory across complex and fast-evolving environments. Having led multinational client portfolios and advised institutions navigating regulatory, geopolitical and digital shifts, he is expected to provide a global-to-local perspective on how AI is reshaping stakeholder engagement, crisis anticipation and reputation management across Africa.
His address will focus on how communicators can integrate artificial intelligence into strategy development, issue forecasting and narrative framing, without losing the human judgment that underpins trust and credibility.
The sub-theme session will be led by Tomiwa Aladekomo, CEO of TechCabal, one of Africa’s leading technology and innovation media platforms.
Aladekomo, whose work sits at the intersection of media, technology and digital culture, is widely regarded for shaping conversations around Africa’s tech ecosystem. Under his leadership, TechCabal has become a critical voice in tracking digital transformation trends across the continent. His session will explore AI-driven storytelling, media intelligence and how communicators can leverage data, audience analytics and platform algorithms to craft compelling, high-impact narratives in a crowded information ecosystem.
With media landscapes increasingly influenced by algorithms and shifting platform policies, his insights are expected to provide practical guidance on aligning storytelling with technological realities while maintaining authenticity and brand integrity.
The event will be moderated by Ayeni Adekunle, Founder and CEO of Black House Media. Adekunle is a respected figure in Nigeria’s communications industry, known for building one of the country’s most dynamic integrated public relations agencies. His experience in campaign strategy, media management and brand positioning positions him well to steer conversations toward actionable outcomes for participants.
