Anthony Eigbe Pitches Tent With Tecno As Chief Creative Officer, West Africa

Creative advertising professional, Anthony Eigbe, has been appointed as the Chief Creative Officer, West Africa at Tecno.
In his new position, he will be at the helm of leading the creative vision and output for TECNO Mobile Across English-speaking West Africa, with a core focus on Nigeria and Ghana. He will also be responsible for developing and executing brand campaigns, aiming to position the company as Africa’s most culturally iconic smartphone brand.
Prior to his new appointment, he worked as the Vice President, Creative and Communications at UAC of Nigeria plc, where he operated out of a newly formed sub-unit, 1879 Tech Hub; a collection of subject-matter experts working across 4 verticals (Business Tech, Digital Innovation, Tech Academy & Creative Comms) to deliver on UAC’s vision of fully becoming tech-compliant.
He also worked as Creative Director at X3M Ideas.
Eigbe’s career journey began as a Creative Executive at Bates Cosse, where he then transitioned to Cosse TTL as a Copywriter. As a Copywriter, he was responsible for creating breakthrough communication campaigns that were easily adapted and executed across various media, including New Media, ATL, and BTL.
He has also worked as a Senior Ideation Executive at EXP Marketing Nigeria, where he thought and created seamless, practical, and impactful experiential ideas for a host of local and multinational brands.
At Insight Communications Limited, he worked as Group Head, Copy, where he led a creative team focused on delivering communication campaigns that impacted culture. Key accounts worked on include: Pepsi (Nigeria and International), H2Oh!, Mirinda, 7Up, Aquafina, Polaris Bank, and Scanfrost.
Eigbe holds a Diploma in Digital Marketing from The Chartered Institute of Marketing as well as a Diploma in Copywriting, Concepting, & Storytelling from Miami Ad School.
