Folayemi Oyebade Joins Sendy As Marketing Manager

Marketing Communications Amazon, Folayemi Oyebade has pitched tent with Sendy Limited, a pan African tech company that builds fulfillment infrastructure for e-commerce and consumer brands as Marketing Manager.
In her new position, Oyebade is expected to support growth and acquisition across the West African Region through the development and implementation marketing operations, lead generation initiatives, and the promotion of Sendy’s business units. She is also expected to oversee the development of Sendy’s brand image in the market to increase value and brand credibility.
Taking to LinkedIn to share the good news, Oyebade wrote: “I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve joined Sendy Ltd as a Marketing Manager, West Africa. I’d like to thank the support of my family, friends and colleagues, this wouldn’t be possible without you.”
Oyebade joined the outfit following her exit from Insight Publicis where she was an Account Director. Prior Insight Publicis, she was a Brand Manager at Nitro 121 (then 141 Worldwide) where she worked for a better part of a decade. She has also had stints at such agencies as Tequila and TBWA.
An alumna of the University of Surrey where she obtained her Master of Arts in Communication and International Marketing, Oyebade also graduated from Covenant University with a Degree in English Language and Literature.
She will be bringing to bare her over fifteen years’ experience working at Sendy’s. Sendy is an end-to-end logistics solution enabling thousands of businesses to move any type of goods using any type of vehicle: motorcycle, pick-up, van, truck or trailer.
Sendy was established in 2014 as a way to provide easy tools to empower and enrich people. The platform, which started out as a relatively small project emerged winner at PIVOT East, a mobile start-up competition. Sendy won the transport category, having focused on building Kenya’s most trusted platform for all types of deliveries. Sendy is headquartered in Kenya and has gradually expanded across the country and East African borders where the company is enabling businesses to move large volumes of goods.
