NIPR Unveils Brylyne Chitsunge As Keynote Speaker For NPRW 2026

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations has unveiled Brylyne Chitsunge, Pan-African Parliament Ambassador for Food Security and Chief Executive Officer of Elpasso Farms, South Africa, as the keynote speaker for the 2026 Nigerian Public Relations Week.
The conference, scheduled in Kaduna from April 19 to 25, will bring together stakeholders from across Africa and beyond under the theme “Food Security: From Policy Paper to Public Plate, The Imperatives of Public Relations.”
Chitsunge is widely recognised for her work in food security, sustainable agriculture and agribusiness development. Her career has focused on empowering farmers, particularly women and youth, while driving practical solutions to food insecurity across the continent.
As the first Pan-African Parliamentary Ambassador for Food Security, she has contributed to shaping conversations around agriculture, climate resilience, and food system transformation at a continental level.
Beyond advocacy, she leads Elpasso Farms, a diversified agricultural enterprise spanning livestock, aquaculture and crop production, with supply links to major retail and hospitality markets.
Her global engagements include roles within the Clinton Global Initiative and Harvard Medical School, advisory positions with government stakeholders, and participation in international policy discussions on agriculture, health, and innovation.
At the event, her keynote is expected to explore how strategic communication can bridge the gap between policy and real-life impacts within food systems while highlighting the role of public relations in shaping public understanding and driving behavioural change.
The chairman of the NPRW 2026 Planning Committee, Yomi Badejo-Okusanya, described her as a symbol of the intersection of policy, practice, and impact, noting that her address will inspire solution-driven conversations.
Similarly, NIPR President, Ike Neliaku said her selection underscores the institute’s commitment to spotlighting African-led solutions and global expertise in advancing national development.
NPRW 2026 is expected to attract over 2,000 delegates, including policymakers, communication professionals, agribusiness leaders and development partners, with sessions focused on delivering actionable insights for Nigeria’s food security challenges.
