Bridging The Mid-Career Gap: How SilverLiners Is Preparing Young Ladies For Executive Leadership

Sooner or later, every growth-focused woman will get to that point in her career journey where merit alone stops being the primary engine of advancement. At this point, you need more than your core skills to advance into higher leadership roles in the corporate world.
This is where strategic visibility, leadership competence, and relationships (yes! Even office politics) become the wheels upon which competence rests, as you navigate your way up the corporate ladder.
Transitioning from being the ‘skilled lady who gets the job done’ to becoming the tenacious leader who is recognized and trusted to lead her organization to higher heights is where most women miss out – because they aren’t trained and supported to consistently smash glass ceilings in the corporate world.

According to Hannah Oyebanjo, a corporate veteran and 2025 WIMCA Lifetime Achievement Awardee.
‘‘It’s an economic priority for more women to step into leadership roles at their places of work. Organizations perform better when leadership reflects the full talent pool. Gender development is a leadership priority.”
SilverLiners was born from a pattern Hannah observed across industries: highly capable women enter the workforce with immense potential, only to become less visible as they approach senior levels. The issue, she realized, was rarely about capability. It was about access, visibility, and organizational structures.
“Many women wait for a ‘permission slip’ called perfection,” Oyebanjo explains. “They feel they must be 100% ready before taking the next step. But growth usually happens after you say ‘yes,’ not before.”
SilverLiners was designed to move women past this hesitation, transitioning them from “individual contributors” to “strategic leaders in the workplace.”

While many corporate programs focus on “confidence,” SilverLiners takes a more surgical approach. This two-day intensive program speaks deeply to other areas of your life as a career woman, going beyond regular tips and tricks you must have heard already. During the event, we dive into the ‘unwritten rules’ of work-life integration, equipping you with the corporate intelligence and boundary-setting skills to thrive at home and at work.
One of the key philosophies of the program is the shift from “protecting seats” to “building ladders.” Hannah is vocal about the difference between mentorship and sponsorship, a distinction often lost.
“A mentor advises you privately, but a sponsor speaks your name in rooms where decisions are made.”
SilverLiners also has a vibrant alumni network for Ladies who have attended the previous programs from different sectors of the economy; banking, FMCG, telecoms, insurance, consulting, and aviation. In this alumni network, women share opportunities, support each other, and advocate for one another.

The conversations at SilverLiners are honest dialogues about setbacks, missed opportunities, and the resilience required to pivot.
This year, we are pulling together a rich faculty with decades of experience across multiple industries, to show you the real secrets behind growing significantly in your career in 2026 and beyond.
Powerhouse voices like Dr. Joyce Ojemudia (MD/CEO, Sopray Properties), Josephine Awatefe Sarouk (MD, Bayobab Nigeria), and Adedoyin Amosun (Lead Advisor, Rhodes Peters Ltd), will be speaking, alongide the indefatigable Hannah Oyebanjo (MD/CEO, Redwood Consulting) who also serves as the convener of Silver Liners. In this edition, these leaders are set to share the unwritten parts of their journey; practical lessons that will help you step out of the mid-Career level and into higher roles and leadership positions in record time.
